A brotherhood. Sounds innocuous enough. Akin to the brothers of the Ancient Order of Hibernians whose motto is Friendship, Unity and True Christian Charity? I don't think so.
Egypt is in danger of becoming a 'democracy'.....something the White House and their admirers wish to see. One man - one vote. Even if they became a constitutional republic, like the United States, their Republic wouldn't last.
Does anybody really think a government run by the so-called Muslim Brotherhood would play fair for their own people, let alone other people? Aren't these the people who blow up and kill Christian Churches and Christians? Who blow up their own people? Aren't these the people who believe it's their way or no way?
The problem, as I see it, is their use of terrorism to seize and keep power. If they don't like you they kill you. How many dead bodies until good people are afraid to speak out? It's how they control populations. During World War II Russia's Joe Stalin and Germany's Adolf Hitler were masters at it....until matters got out of their control. The Muslims in control of Iran are masters at it, thanks to former President Jimmy Carter. When will matters there get out of control, just like matters now in Egypt.
With the Muslim Brotherhood in power, we can expect them to agitate politically throughout the Arab world. Remember, these are the guys who didn't know what oil was until we taught 'em. These are the guys who overcame Sicily and most of Spain. These are the guys who are visible through the U.S. at gas stations, carry out stores, small hotels/motels etc. Am I missing anything here?
I'd like to believe that the words Muslim Brotherhood really meant something. Oh, it sounds so nice, as if they were practicing Friendship, Unity and true Muslim Charity. I'd like to believe they are a positive influence for people everywhere. But I've witnessed nothing of the kind. And I don't believe I ever will.

Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Iran et al - the Domino Theory
We're witnessing orchestrated "riots" in Egypt and Lebanon, purportedly to change government. The Tunisian President/Prime Minister was recently forced from office, as was a pro-American Prime Minister in Lebanon. The 'rioters' are all young, Muslim men. The United States and our allies will continue to stand idly by while the enemies and freedom and Christianity seize power.
At one time we supported the leadership of Iran. Under President Jimmy Carter, we copped out on the Shah of Iran and thereby created the situation we are faced with today. The irony is the Iranian people, like those in North Korea, are enslaved. The people of Tunisia and Lebanon are next.
Our old CIA was demonized by the leftist American media. In the 'old days' the CIA was an organization that used to keep/put good guys in power. Our safety wasn't threatened by people who
I'm wondering when the people of France, Spain, Saudi Arabia et al will become enslaved, like what happened to Iranians did when we turned our back on our friend the Shah.

MIXING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION WITH LEGAL
I'm quite positive that discerning Americans can see through it - the attempt by the American Left, via major media outlets, to make it appear that the American Right opposes immigration. I remain troubled, however, by non-discerning Americans. If they believe the pop thought being created by the Left, we on the RIGHT oppose immigration. Period.
Every American, and, yes, even native Americans, have come to the North American continent from somewhere. None of us were hatched from an egg here and can claim we're the Chosen Ones. We recognize our roots and the contributions of our ancestors to the building of this nation.
we do not oppose immigration, We oppose ILLEGAL immigration. My fervent hope is that non-discerning Americans have their thought formed news from other than Leftist sources.

FOOTBALL, DISCOUNTED TATOOS AND ROSE COLORED GLASSES
by
JC Sullivan
Five Ohio State football players have been suspended for five games next season for selling autographs, OSU sports paraphenalia, i.e., rings, uniform parts, etc. Feedback has been from two sides - the "So what, it's not like they were selling drugs or buying hookers" to "they have classes about NCAA rules yet they broke them."
If these college guys have been caught breaking the rules for money, what can we expect from them as players in the National Football League? That's big money, not sporting goods. Games and money can be won and lost.
The late Joseph J. "Sport" Sullivan was the guy who talked several 1919 Chicago "Black Sox" players into throwing the World Series. Ah, but then, I hear readers saying "Why, that can't happen today?" And didn't we recently see an NBA referee named Donaghy make calls to benefit one team over another?
Many professional fans today believe that some select NFL games are run by Las Vegas interests. This writer doesn't like to think it but, "It ain't true,is it, Joe?
Sullivan is an internationally-published writer residing in northeast Ohio.

Controlling the Internet - another Obama Administration Power Grab
Instead of singing "Here Comes Santa Claus" at this Christmastide, 2010, I am singing "Here Comes Uncle Sam". He used to be jolly, like St. Nick. But I no longer trust him....I've seen too much.
I wrote about the dangers of government intrusion into another arena of our life - the Internet!

Crack the door open now…..kick it open later…..just like Don't Ask, Don't Tell. Cleveland Plain Dealer write Kevin O'Brien wrote a column regarding the same topic. In his December 23, 2010 column he didn’t mention government thought control. The blogosphere is where folks get alternate opinion.
Pop thought has been force-fed to the masses, formed by major publications and broadcast media. Eliminate sources of free thought and you eliminate expression of free thought.
The majority of people in our nation don’t know about Radio Free Europe and the “jamming” of the radiowaves by Communists, er I mean Progressives. People who thought freely were arrested.
Is our nation going to have to go through the same hoops? I have great hope that the recent revolution in America will extend through the upcoming Congress. Oh, the media is already spinning the President as the "comback kid." That's to be expected....anywhere they can 'mine' a nugget to keep him in power through the next election cycle. Now we understand an alternate intrepretation of "Ching Ching Chinaman sitting on a fence, trying to make a dollar out of fifteen cents."

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus
Eight-year-old Virginia O'Hanlon wrote a letter to the editor of New York's Sun, and the quick response was printed as an unsigned editorial Sept. 21, 1897. The work of veteran newsman Francis Pharcellus Church has since become history's most reprinted newspaper editorial, appearing in part or whole in dozens of languages in books, movies, and other editorials, and on posters and stamps.
DEAR EDITOR:
I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus.
Papa says, 'If you see it in THE SUN it's so.' Please tell me the truth; is there a Santa Claus?
VIRGINIA O'HANLON, 115 WEST NINETY-FIFTH STREET.
VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except [what] they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men's or children's, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.
Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.
Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.
You may tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.
No Santa Claus! Thank God! He lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

The intriguing story about how I broke my collarbone
We had just checked in to Buccia's Vineyard B & B, Conneaut, Ohio, for a special weekend together, compliments of our daughters. As we entered, to the right was a large room where guests were wine-tasting Buccia's finest. While Karen freshened up in our room, I headed for the wine.
The conversation amongst the guests was being monopolized by a boring guy who was relating in great and lengthy detail about his Jet Ski accident and subsequent injuries. When a momentary break took place in his not-so-captivating conversation, I seized the moment by proclaiming, "I broke my collarbone once." When the laughter subsided I continued.
"I had a towel wrapped around my neck and trailing down my back, Superman style. I jumped off our front porch with my eyes closed, twirled around in mid-air, and unexpectedly hit the ground hard. Wimpering, I got up and ran into the house and laid down on my bed." Now you know, as I relate this story, I was talking about when I was a kid. Right?
Not missing a beat, Al Bucci, our genial proprietor, asked, "Was alcohol involved?"

CBS News spin on Google's profits.
CBS News ran a story the other night about how Google has an operation in Ireland. The profits from there go the Netherlands. From there they go to an offshore bank in the Bahamas. CBS pointed out all the tax money the U.S. was missing because of this. And, yes, you guessed it. The Bahamas has no Corporate sales tax. You know Google isn't the only company doing this. I see things a bit differently than CBS News.
Instead of going to the Bahamas, what if those profits came back to, for example, Ohio? Would we have a huge need to immediately TAX those profits, like CBS thinks? Would it not be good enough if banks in Ohio just HAD THE MONEY? It might make a difference for private enterprise, no?
Look in your newspaper's Want Ads from, let's say, the 1960s. Compare it to the Want Ads from today. See any difference?
This election, and the 2012 election, are points of no return. Let's hope American voters, young and not so young, vote for a return to prosperity.

"Homophobia" - is Carl Paladino right?
Carl Paladino is a New York American running for political office. He happens to be Catholic and a Republican. Recently he spoke out against homosexuality and is being nailed to the cross by the liberal American media. Poor Carl, like Joseph McCarty, he has no idea of the forces being garnered against him. I'm surprised French strikers haven't gone to the streets to protest his statements.
But is Paladino right?
“One’s own religious views can come into this issue. I respect that…I have my own views as a practicing Catholic…but I keep them to myself, and I don’t think bigotry and hatred belong in a debate about who’s going to be the next governor.” Paladino expressed another legitimate concern he has - that of a perception being created that it's OK to be homosexual. I concur with him. It's not!
Why, in recent history, has the fact that one is a homosexual become a political and media issue? The question beggars an answer. Dare I opine by saying that it is part of an agenda to craft and glue together several artificial "minorities" to create an artificial "majority"? Unions, blacks, women et al, and now homosexuals?
Recently I attended the funeral of a friend. One of the sons is a very handsome young man. As I chatted with him and shook his hand I commented, "You've got the best looks of all your brothers." He recoiled by pulling his hand away from mine in a shocked fashion. What? Did he think I was gay by paying the guy a compliment?
I'm aware of gays in my extended family. I don't condemn them for being that way - it's what happened tothem. However, I do condemn the act. That's how it is for you, I understand. But don't try to tell me it's normal behavior and it's OK to be gay. And don't think you're special because you are gay. Where'd you get that idea? From the American liberal media?

White Men Count
I heard a term this week that hasn't been mentioned in a long time - "white men". Oh, we're still around?
The agenda of "Progressives" has excluded us in favor of their artificially-created "majority". I don't need to tell you who their coalition is. But, it's got me to thinking about we, "white men".
White men have:
Written and adopted the Constitution of the United States and create the most successful (until now) government in history.
Given women the right to vote.
Given the Negro race their freedom in America after their own had sold them into slavery.
Educated their daughters.
Educated their sons.
Invented the automobile that women drive around today.
Have any of these actions been mistakes?
Now, I expect to hear from Progressives and Leftists about all the things bad white men have done without hearing about all the bad things that women, blacks, and the rest have done. Just the things they like to headline.
Just wanted to remind some readers about what's been done for you.

THEY MUST BE WORRIED.
They gathered on the Washington Mall this weekend calling themselves "One Nation Working Together. What they shout is what's expected. They're Leftists afterall.
They call those with "Tea Party" values "intolerant and racist". MSNBC was there, apparently despite their dead rankings. Not many folks watching them these days. According to the Plain Dealer, MSNBC guy Ed Schulz called those of us who support Conservative values are holding them back. 'Them' means Democrats, blacks, Teachers, union members et al.
We note the NAACP is apparently funding students to go into High Schools and register 18 year olds as good,liberal-voting Leftists. Others present at the rally were the usual list of suspects - civil rights protection for gays and lesbians, citizenship for illegal aliens, sheesh, where do I stop?
And, as you would expect, anybody who watches FOX News (and that's a majority of us) are preachers and spewers of hate who are brainwashing Americans. We are about "as bad as it gets."
All of this nonsense is to be expected given the political climate in Europe. When they don't get their way they attempt to shutdown everyday life for everyone.
Is it any wonder why there are no college professors who hold conservative values. It's because they hire themselves. In his book, "Blacklisted by History", author M Stanton Evans names the names of the infiltration of the U.S. Department of State by Leftists. How have they done it? Read Evans' and find out. It's easy to guess - they occupy the positions that hire. Like the hiring of left-leaning professors, they hire themselves.
All the spewing of hate from the Left tells me they're desperate. We should be more desperate as they are dangerous.

"Tis the season....."
I am utterly sick of the creepy and negative radio and TV ads that are being run these days. I can't wait until Election Day passes. The mud-slinging for blatant political purposes defies belief.
In Ohio, Congressional candidate Tom Ganley is being smeared by a woman alleging he groped her. Do we smell money here? Or is it a whiff of "politics as usual"? Do we wonder why good men and women do not run for office anymore? I mean, Patrick was a Saint, I ain't.
Ganley is a millionaire car dealer. Does anyone really THINK he would risk it all for something as stupid as what is being alleged? A clue to the answer is in the failed mediation that attempted to settle matters. Defense Counsel offered $500.00 to make it go away. Now, don't you think that if there was REALLY any merit to all this that a little more than $500.00 buckaroos would have been offered to settle and keep matters silent from the public and media? Tis the Season.
In California it has been revealed by a crying former housemaid/illegal alien that a Senatorial candidate employed her while she was illegal and treated her like dirt. I think she was treated like dirt for about 8 years. I saw her dabbling her eyes and cheeks with a tissue. I didn't see any tears though. She kept dabbing a dry face. Tis the Season.

ARE YOU READY??????
No, I'm not talking Monday Night Football. I'm talking s-t-r-i-k-e-s, work stoppages and violent demonstrations. Europe gets these crowds out in a flash. Even without Conservatives re-taking control again in the U.S., we're beginning to see it here.
Remember when Barack Obama went to Germany post-election? They turned out by the thousands to cheer him. I saw it for what it was - a Leftist media show. Now, when European government fiscal conservatives are attempting to cut spending and balance the books, what are we seeing? That's right - the Leftist media show making their usual noises.....and the cameras of the world are right there.
I've been hearing more lately about the entitlements Europeans have come to expect from their governments. Those countries are entitlement economies. President Sarkozy of France is attempting to make Frenchmen work two more years before they are eligible to retire (from 60 to 62). You have seen their reaction, right? Taking to the streets for the cameras and selective strikes to shut down various parts of their nation.
This week we now have seen Greece and Belgium's Leftists taking to the cameras, I mean the streets. Who's next? Looks like American union members are feeling sympathy pains.
Now the Service Employees International Union's members will converge at the U.S. Capitol. Will all their shouting and sign-waving make a difference in this upcoming election? Why are they sympathetic? Dare I opine American taxpayer money?
Union leadership across the board are SELFISH. Their interests are self-serving. To hell with average American people. They don't want an independent economy - they want to be in control of the money printing presses. It's also called POWER. Verstehe?

Don't Ask, Don't Tell
As a U.S. Army veteran, I'd like to address this issue.
When I served, there were men in my unit that we suspected were "gay". I even hung out with a couple of them. They were "effiminate" but I always thought of them as "soft" men, not the macho type. I gave no thought to whether they were "gay".
Don't ask don't tell - why are "Gays" supposed to be a protected group? They never bothered me during my service years and I didn't bother them.
Quite frankly, I have more respect for a person who says they are gay than those who hide it. I don't condone it and I think gays are pathetic characters. I even know there some in my "family".
Don't ask, don't tell? If you're gay, what makes you think you a protected species? It's political only.
It's part of the ongoing attempt to divide us - hispanic, gay, black, etc.
Get the picture?

The Patience of the Left
We Americans still don't get it. Communists, leftists and liberals are very patient when it comes to getting their way. It appears there will be a big change in November, 2010 at election time. That's when conservatives and those on the right appear to be headed towards a majority once again. But hold on.
The rise of the grass roots movement known as the Tea Party threatens to split the vote of the right. What do I mean? Well, when somebody runs in-between the Democrats and Republicans as an Independent, they split the vote. It will be the vote on the right that will suffer.
Long ago I encouraged Republican leaders to listen to the Tea Partyers and absorb their anger into the Republican platform. They didn't do it yet I remain hopeful they are not damaged come election day.
The current occupant of the White House does not care one iota about getting reelected. Their agenda is to harm America and our economy and divide our people. The damage will have been done no matter if they are reelected or not. And that's perfectly all right with them.

Statement on the Proposed “Cordoba House” Mosque near Ground Zero
Newt Gingrich
July 21, 2010 6pm
There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia. The time for double standards that allow Islamists to behave aggressively toward us while they demand our weakness and submission is over.
The proposed "Cordoba House" overlooking the World Trade Center site where a group of jihadists killed over 3000 Americans and destroyed one of our most famous landmarks - is a test of the timidity, passivity and historic ignorance of American elites.
For example, most of them don’t understand that “Cordoba House” is a deliberately insulting term. It refers to Cordoba, Spain – the capital of Muslim conquerors who symbolized their victory over the Christian Spaniards by transforming a church there into the world’s third-largest mosque complex.
Today, some of the Mosque’s backers insist this term is being used to
"symbolize interfaith cooperation" when, in fact, every Islamist in the world recognizes Cordoba as a symbol of Islamic conquest. It is a sign of their contempt for Americans and their confidence in our historic ignorance that they would deliberately insult us this way.
Those Islamists and their apologists who argue for "religious toleration" are arrogantly dishonest. They ignore the fact that more than 100 mosques already exist in New York City. Meanwhile, there are no churches or synagogues in all of Saudi Arabia. In fact no Christian or Jew can even enter Mecca. And they lecture us about tolerance.
If the people behind the Cordoba House were serious about religious
toleration, they would be imploring the Saudis, as fellow Muslims, to
immediately open up Mecca to all and immediately announce their intention to allow non-Muslim houses of worship in the Kingdom. They should be asked by the news media if they would be willing to lead such a campaign.
We have not been able to rebuild the World Trade Center in nine years.
Now we are being told a 13 story, $100 million megamosque will be built within a year overlooking the site of the most devastating surprise attack in American history.
Finally where is the money coming from? The people behind the Cordoba House refuse to reveal all their funding sources.
America is experiencing an Islamist cultural-political offensive
designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. Sadly, too many of
our elites are the willing apologists for those who would destroy them
if they could.
No mosque.
No self deception.
No surrender.
The time to take a stand is now - at this site on this issue.
If, after reading this, you agree with it, please pass it on to others. This is the most clearly stated, sensible, and historically accurate statement that I’ve read on this issue (and I’ve read a lot
of them).
Why can’t we have a President as intelligent, educated,
and patriotic as this former Speaker of the House?

Just one reason I intensely dislike our current President and His Policies
Editor's note - I could not find any reference to this on snopes.com. I did find, however, he said “And one of the points I want to make is, is that if you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world”
President Barack Obama said in Turkey : "We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
I found this very interesting.

"and their fellow travelers."
Upon hearing the name of Joe McCarthy, a columnist for a major American newspaper said to me, "Shhh. Saying something nice about Joe McCarthy can get you in a LOT of trouble." Are you kidding me? He died in 1957!
For younger readers, Senator Joseph R. McCarthy (R-WI) accused the American government, in particular the State Department, of hiring American communists and Soviet spies. American media at that time vilified and demonized McCarthy. The guy didn't realize the immense forces working against him.
"For my mother Josephine Stanton Evans who knew it all along and for Tierney McCarthy wherever she may be." With those words, M. Stanton Evans dedicated his immense work, "Blacklisted by History", or as Evans puts it, "The untold story of Senator Joe McCarthy and his fight against America's enemies". It's a detailed account of America's pre and post-World War Two years that that names names, something that American media quashed during the McCarthy era.
The influence of Moscow's penetration of our government continues to this day. In 2010 Russian spies were exchanged for an alleged American spy and American media immediately dumped the story. Nobody calls them communists anymore. They're now identified as the Left, Socialists or liberals.
Have you ever driven on a four lane road when all the traffic is in the right lane, leaving the left lane open? Swinging into the left lane, you have an open road before you. Suddenly a car pulls out from the left lane in front of you, slows down, and blocks your progress. I compare the workings of American leftists, liberals and communists to that car.
The interests of the communists in this country are not for we the people but for their international interests and their own pocketbooks. It's quite OK for their "fellow travelers" to financially benefit from government. It's not OK for the rest of us to benefit financially from free enterprise.
Of particular interest to the Polish community is Evans' documentation of the sellout of the Polish government-in-exile during WWII by our own President Roosevelt. It also includes the purloining of reports of Polish-American US Army officers who, as German POWs, witnessed the aftermath of the Katyn Forest massacre of Polish officers/Intellectuals. Their reports, that have since disappeared from our National Archives, directly blamed the Soviets (read Russians).
Unlike Joe McCarthy, it appears Americans are beginning to recognize those forces and their subsequent policies at work against us. Those policies are emanating from our own White House, aided and abetted by their fellow travelers.
It's my fervent hope that the wave I'm beginning to see from right-thinking Americans is able to overcome the immensely powerful forces of propaganda at work against us from within and without our shores.

Prosperity, yes, but for who?
Ya gotta love those Democrats today - they speak with a forked tongue.
Howza 'bout a campaign theme - "If you don't want to prosper, vote for the Left, unless you're a teacher or union member." They're prospering by virtue of a Leftist President funding them from our tax dollars.
One has to read that prosperity via taxpayer money is apparently good for them but prosperity via private enterprise is not good for us.
We have to change the old quote to now read "Black man speaks with forked tongue."
