I've just watched two movies, "The Ghostwriter" and "Lambs for Lions", the latter starred Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. In both movies, I could see it coming early on.
The Redford name alone should be a signal for a leftist view and he carried in that tradition. The movie, of course, chastizes President Bush and our invovement in Iraq and Afghanistan in a slick way, as Hollywood is able to do.
The other movie, starring Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor, paints the CIA as an enemy of the people, even to the point of calling waterboarding torture

I couldn't help thinking that if the old CIA were still around, today we wouldn't be facing the problems of Iran, Afghanistan, Venezuela and the like.
Was Joe McCarthy right?
