Upon hearing the name of Joe McCarthy, a columnist for a major American newspaper said to me, "Shhh. Saying something nice about Joe McCarthy can get you in a LOT of trouble." Are you kidding me? He died in 1957!
For younger readers, Senator Joseph R. McCarthy (R-WI) accused the American government, in particular the State Department, of hiring American communists and Soviet spies. American media at that time vilified and demonized McCarthy. The guy didn't realize the immense forces working against him.
"For my mother Josephine Stanton Evans who knew it all along and for Tierney McCarthy wherever she may be." With those words, M. Stanton Evans dedicated his immense work, "Blacklisted by History", or as Evans puts it, "The untold story of Senator Joe McCarthy and his fight against America's enemies". It's a detailed account of America's pre and post-World War Two years that that names names, something that American media quashed during the McCarthy era.
The influence of Moscow's penetration of our government continues to this day. In 2010 Russian spies were exchanged for an alleged American spy and American media immediately dumped the story. Nobody calls them communists anymore. They're now identified as the Left, Socialists or liberals.
Have you ever driven on a four lane road when all the traffic is in the right lane, leaving the left lane open? Swinging into the left lane, you have an open road before you. Suddenly a car pulls out from the left lane in front of you, slows down, and blocks your progress. I compare the workings of American leftists, liberals and communists to that car.
The interests of the communists in this country are not for we the people but for their international interests and their own pocketbooks. It's quite OK for their "fellow travelers" to financially benefit from government. It's not OK for the rest of us to benefit financially from free enterprise.
Of particular interest to the Polish community is Evans' documentation of the sellout of the Polish government-in-exile during WWII by our own President Roosevelt. It also includes the purloining of reports of Polish-American US Army officers who, as German POWs, witnessed the aftermath of the Katyn Forest massacre of Polish officers/Intellectuals. Their reports, that have since disappeared from our National Archives, directly blamed the Soviets (read Russians).
Unlike Joe McCarthy, it appears Americans are beginning to recognize those forces and their subsequent policies at work against us. Those policies are emanating from our own White House, aided and abetted by their fellow travelers.
It's my fervent hope that the wave I'm beginning to see from right-thinking Americans is able to overcome the immensely powerful forces of propaganda at work against us from within and without our shores.

Howza 'bout a campaign theme - "If you don't want to prosper, vote for the Left, unless you're a teacher or union member." They're prospering by virtue of a Leftist President funding them from our tax dollars.
One has to read that prosperity via taxpayer money is apparently good for them but prosperity via private enterprise is not good for us.
We have to change the old quote to now read "Black man speaks with forked tongue."

A MOSQUE AND MUSLIM CULTURAL CENTER AT GROUND ZERO?
The descendants of the Confederate States of America in Richmond, Virginia have a street called Monument Avenue. Along this street are statues, or monuments, honoring their Civil War ancestors.
Several years ago a debate raged there when the black community in Richmond successfully waged a war to have a monument to one of their own built there - a black homosexual tennis player named Arthur Ashe, Jr. Not to diminish his professional talent and achievements, but how utterly inappropriate to build a statue to him in that particular location.
City officials in New York City have given their blessing to the construction of a mosque and so-called muslim cultural center at or very near Ground Zero. How utterly inappropriate to build one at that particular location.
Both of the above instances are nothing less than power plays, or as some like to call it, the game of "who's on top?" Unfortunately, neither example took in the feelings of those who opposed it on the grounds of the location being inappropriate. It's kind of like building a McDonalds in a church parking lot.
I can only hope the honest American tradesmen of NYC don't allow this to occur.

Obama's political strategy
There he was on television articulating his political strategy. He was appealing to blacks, latinos and women, who apparently are his base. It's the latter that puzzles me.
I realize that about 90% of black voters voted for him in the last election. Surprising, 'cause I thought there were more black middle class voters than that.
Latinos? Why not. The illegals are future Democrats aren't they. That's why he'll attempt to legitimize them.
Women? He must be talking about black and latino women. He doesn't specify which. That's the biggest puzzle. Unless he knows that white women will again betray the white middle class and white men in the next election by voting for him. It's the only thing I can figure.
As a white man, if can now articulate a political strategy that encompasses the black middle class, latinos who are legal residents and/or citizens and white people, the only ones who would call me racist would be CBS, NBC, ABC and CNN.

SETTING THE SCENE FOR GOVERNMENT CONTROL OF THE INTERNET
As reported in the April 13th issue of USA Today by David Lieberman, ”… the options are how much consumers pay for broadband, how fast their services will be and possibly whether millions of people will be able to get it at all.” The FCC wants the power to tell us what the rules will be. They smell the money and their pretense will be ‘equal opportunity for all”, i.e. free internet service for everyone.
We are beginning to see the trend – local communities providing free Internet service to a wide area around them. The way I see it, that means they can eventually control what’s on the Internet and omit what they don’t want to allow on it. Today, besides FOX News, blogs seem to be the only method of communication where we get an alternate perspective. With control of the Internet, the government, like the alphabet networks, would control what thought is permitted and what thought is sliced out. Sounds like a one-part system, huh?

Beginning one year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this "Cap & Trade" bill, passed by the House of Representatives. If it is also passed by the Senate, it will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.
The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure that these voters will get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. And Mrs. Middle Class have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else..
But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won't be able to sell your house without some bureaucrat's OK. Yes, you read that right.
The caveat (there always is a caveat) is that if you have enough money to make required major upgrades to your home, then you can sell it. But, if not, then forget it. Even pre-fabricated homes ("mobile homes") are included. In effect, this bill prevents you from selling your home without the permission of the EPA administrator.
To get this permission, you will have to have the energy efficiency of your home measured. Then the government will tell you what your new energy efficiency requirement is and you will be required to make modifications to your home under the retrofit provisions of this Act, to comply with the new energy and water efficiency requirements.
Then you will have to get your home measured again and get a license (called a "label" in the Act) that must be posted on your property to show what your efficiency rating is; sort of like the Energy Star efficiency rating label on your refrigerator or air conditioner. If you don't get a high enough rating, you can't sell.
And, the EPA administrator is authorized to raise the standards every year, even above the automatic energy efficiency increases built into the Act. The EPA administrator, appointed by the President, will run the Cap & Trade program (AKA the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009") and is authorized to make any future changes to the regulations and standards he/she alone determines to be in the government's best interest. Requirements are set low initially so the bill will pass Congress. Then the Administrator can set new standards every year.
The Act itself contains annual required increases in energy efficiency for private and commercial residences and buildings. However, the EPA administrator can set higher standards at any time. Sect. 202 - Building Retrofit Program mandates a national retrofit program to increase the energy efficiency of all existing homes across America.
Beginning one year after enactment of the Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with its energy and water efficiency standards. You had better sell soon, because the standards will be raised each year and will be really hard (expen$ive) to meet in a few years. Oh, goody!
The Act allows the government to give you a grant of several thousand dollars to comply with the retrofit program requirements IF you meet certain energy efficiency levels. But, wait, the State can set additional requirements on who qualifies to receive the grants. You should expect requirements such as "can't have an income of more than $50K per year", "home selling price can't be more than $125K", or anything else to target the upper middle class (that includes YOU?) and prevent you from qualifying for the grants.
Most of us won't get a dime and will have to pay the entire cost of the retrofit out of our own pockets. More transfer of wealth, more "change you can believe in." Sect. 204 - Building Energy Performance Labeling Program establishes a labeling program that for each individual residence will identify the achieved energy efficiency performance for "at least 90 percent of the residential market within 5 years after the date of the enactment of this Act."
This means that within 5 years 90% of all residential homes in the U.S. must be measured and labeled. The EPA administrator will get $50M each year to enforce the labeling program. The Secretary of the Department of Energy will get an additional $20M each year to help the EPA. Some of this money will, of course, be spent on coming up with tougher standards each year...
Oh, the label will be like a license for your car. You will be required to post the label in a conspicuous location in your home and will not be allowed to sell your home without having this label. And, just like your car license, you will probably be required to get a new label every so often - maybe every year.
But, the government estimates the cost of measuring the energy efficiency of your home should only cost about $200 each time.Remember what they said about the auto smog inspections when they first started: that in California? It would only cost $15. That was when the program started. Now the cost is about $50 for the inspection and certificate.
Expect the same from the home labeling program. Sect. 304 - Greater Energy Efficiency in Building Codes establishes new energy efficiency guidelines for the National Building Code and mandates at 304(d) that one year after enactment of this Act, all state and local jurisdictions must adopt the National Building Code energy efficiency provisions or must obtain a certification from the federal government that their state and/or local codes have been brought into full compliance with the National Building Code energy efficiency standards.

"Political Drivel"
I note a comment on Facebook that it's not the place to post "political drivel". He's right and I will no longer do it. But, it describes a mentality in America that is dangerous and is exactly why this nation is in the critical stage.
Except for few exceptions, average American political knowledge has been "off the shelf" politics. YOu know, "I'm a Democrat" or "I'm a Republican" or whatever. It's convenient, just like off the shelf religion. And the prevailing attitude has been "I don't like to talk politics" or it's "political drivel."
Oh yes, Americans are becoming engaged as they see the socialist agenda being forced on them. They don't like it and they are not believing what they hear coming out of the White House. But, don't talk to me about it, it's "political drivel."
Sad, sad, sad. Some Americans still aren't paying attention.

If you don’t know what the progressive strategy is - it's the nullification of the Constitution by any means, preferably legislation like the just-passed Health Care bill. More is coming and they will push it as fast as they can. And in my opinion, "Immigration" is the one they want the most. Maybe even more than they did Health Care. I would say that this should include actively stopping anyone that is doing anything that would harm the Conservative Movement in the eyes of our fellow citizens. If you see someone (plant) doing these things we are accused of, STOP THEM. Talk some sense into them if you can. If you think that they maybe possibly be a "plant", get pictures of them so they can be exposed for who they are. One other thing is we should assume these bad people are plants. We have no reason to believe they are conservatives unless "proven" otherwise. Do not accept that any trouble makers are conservatives.
Now this is one of the things that I think they may be trying to do using "Immigration Reform".
In the next couple of months, if they can get an amnesty bill through the House and Senate that grants immediate amnesty to anyone in the country, then it might be possible for Obama to issue an Executive Order granting them citizenship. That would give the Progressives a huge vote advantage that might prevent them from losing seats in November, 2010. Even if they can't get this done by November they can still try to get it done for 2012. I think this is now their main objective. Stopping Immigration Reform must be our top priority. The Health Care battle is not lost but it's in the courts now.
But there is one other thing they can do and that is to create an incident, real or contrived, that will give Obama the excuse to declare "Martial Law" and suspend the November elections. They have been setting the stage for this ever since they were elected. Remember last year when Janet Napolitano put out warnings that returning war veterans should be watched as possible terrorists? Ever since, the media has been putting out the message, directly or indirectly, that we veterans are bigots, homophobic, racists, hateful, wrong-thinking, bitter people that could be terrorists. They will not let up on this and, in fact, will be pushing this very hard trying to get us to do something stupid. Don't do it no matter how hard they try. For now follow what Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mount speech, "Turn the other cheek."

Hollywood Filmmakers and the Left
I've just watched two movies, "The Ghostwriter" and "Lambs for Lions", the latter starred Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. In both movies, I could see it coming early on.
The Redford name alone should be a signal for a leftist view and he carried in that tradition. The movie, of course, chastizes President Bush and our invovement in Iraq and Afghanistan in a slick way, as Hollywood is able to do.
The other movie, starring Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor, paints the CIA as an enemy of the people, even to the point of calling waterboarding torture

"Congress shall make no law....."

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.
If each of you who agree will contact a minimum of twenty people on your e-mail address list, and in turn ask each of those to do likewise.. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ".

The Heart of American People and the Danger to America
While I have never supported Barack Obama, I believe the sentiment expressed below misses an import mark - the heart of the American people.
The American people, God bless 'em, are traditionally open-hearted and generous. In ur lifetimes we have witnessed first-hand prejudices of all sorts, including that of race. While we discriminate daily in our individual choices, discrimination based on race is illegal.
The American people chose a mixed-race man to become their President and for this they are to be congratulated for being open minded. However, in their zeal to demonstrate that they were not racially-prejudiced, feel-good politics if you will, they did not pay particular attention to the policies of his crowd, i.e., the Left. And therein lies the rub. Americans are discovering too late that the policies of his Administration are out of playbooks that do not work.

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as "The One."
He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you." My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall save you with hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who preceeded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed. And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had promised that it was good; and they believed.
And "The One" said " We live in the greatest country in the world. Help me change everything about it!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Change is good!" We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!" Then "The One" said "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes."
And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.
And He said. "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with the ACORN and your troubles are over!"
Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..." And the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The bank banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support. Then "The One" said, "I am the "the One"- The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!"
But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more... And "The One" said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or

The Continuing betrayal of Social Security
According to the Trustees for the Social Security Administration, " There will not be a cost of living increase for the next two years in SS benefits." Additionally, our co-pay for RX Medicare benefits will be raised.
They are also funding 24 million dollars for new electronic medical records processing for Congress. The funds are being obtained, and we quote from the SS website, "This money will be coming from the savings to be generated from withholding "cost of living increases for 2010 and 2011 in SS benefits for the elderly and a $2.00 increase on all medicare RX beneft co-pay."

The funds are being obtained, and we quote from the SS website, "This money will be coming from the savings to be generated from withholding "cost of living increases for 2010 and 2011 in SS benefits for the elderly and a $2.00 increase on all medicare RX beneft co-pay."

Op ed letter to Indianapolis Star re government control of 1/6th of our economy
This letter appeared in the Indianapolis Star (which is owned by the same people who own the Arizona Republic) and was sent to a very popular Indiana Senator. This just goes to show everyone what pressure these Democrats are currently under, so continue to let them know how you feel about the healthcare bill.

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the health care bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient-physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a health care system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our health care system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.
I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.
Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self-insure!!
Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill: THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.

Have You Heard?
No, not song popularized by the Tokens, the 1960s Doo Wop group. I'm speaking of the four Muslim soldiers who have been discharged from the U.S. Army. Why? For threatening to poison the food in a Fort Bragg Mess Hall. Have you heard about it?
I don't believe any of the state-controlled media, the alphabet networks, have yet to report it. The Army got smart and discharged them. Perhaps they prevented another Fort Hood style massacre.
I've read about the attempts to bring free Internet to communities. Doesn't that sound wonderful?Why, no one in the United States will have to pay for it. Well, at least the some folks won't have to pay. When that happens you won't see any news about incidents at Fort Bragg. It's called getting the door opened a crack and then kicking it wide open. And you know what happens when things are "free" and the government gets a hold of it.
Once the Internet is collectively-owned say good-bye to the blogosphere. If communities own it they have the right to control the content. And if they don't want you to know about it, you won't'. Just like our major TV networks in the U.S.
